Ever wished you can play soccer in shoes covered in a print of the $100 dollar bill with Snoop Dogg’s anthemic lines plastered on them? If you answered yes, then your oddly specific wish has come true in the form of the new Adidas Adizero 5-Star 5.0 Snoop Cleats.
That’s right, it’s a pair of football cleats that you can use to run around the soccer field, kicking balls and kneeing guys in their nether regions. Accidentally, of course. What isn’t accidental is the tacky print of cold hard cash on the upper (they photographed the $100 bill filtered through a funky lens), along with the iconic line from Snoop’s “Gin & Juice” joint from back in the day split into two: “Money on my mind” on one side of each shoe and “Mind on my money” on the other.
The Adidas Adizero 5-Star 5.0 Snoop Cleats uses an erstwhile normal-looking silhouette for the shoe, which, of course, becomes anything but normal with, what we’re assuming are, Snoop’s personal design choices. Fortunately, it retains much of the silhouette’s technical elements, including a Sprintskin synthetic upper with Shockweb for delivering high levels of lightweight support, Ironskin toe box for added protection, and the 5-star frame outsole, with its optimum traction zones. Features include an anatomically molded EVA insole for comfortable wear, heel cups that lock the foot in place, 7.9 ounces of weight, and “Gotta Hustle” accessories integrated on the laces.
