It’s always a bad idea to use your folding knife as a pry bar, even if the job’s as simple as opening a can of paint. Do it wrong one time, after all, and you’ve got yourself a messed-up blade, which is fine for a cheap knife but probably heartbreaking for a heirloom or a rare find. If you find yourself unable to resist the urge to use your folder as a pry bar, might as well pick up the Kershaw Barge.

Designed to double as a prying tool, this folder comes with an integrated pry bar that extends from the back of the knife’s handle. That way, you never need to put your knife blade in harm’s way again – just pull out the prying tool at the back and use it for whatever prying duties require your immediate attention.

Features include a handle cut in a mix of glass-filled nylon and stonewashed steel, pre-drilled holes for reversed blade orientation, and a tip-down reversible clip.
